Escape to the Highlands
If you feel like undertaking a little outdoor activitity to reduce the Christmas waistline and are also wondering where to take your children this Easter, what about a trip to the Highlands?
A recent addition to our portfolio of holiday houses is a fabulous collection of lodges/cottages on an estate about 37 miles north of Inverness. But when I say estate, I’m not talking lampposts at every corner, I’m talking a few properties liberally sprinkled across thousands of acres of breaktaking scenery. I quite fancy going there myself to be honest.
Book one of these properties (my favourite is the upside down alpine house) and you get trout fishing on the privately stocked lochs, enough mountain bikes at one’s disposal to make sure no-one has the opportunity to shy away from a little outdoor exercise and there’s even a communal sports hall available. Easter prices start from £800 for a property that sleeps a family of 8.
