Tick Tock - change your clock
Daylight Saving gives us the opportunity of capturing the most out the day by increasing the daylight hours at the end of our day throughout the Spring and Summer months. So don’t forget to forward your clocks by one hour tomorrow morning.
This may not appeal to all, but at Scotts Castle Holidays moving the clock forward by an hour is a welcome relief. It means all us worker bees stuck in the office day in day out from 9-6 (often known to be much later), get to leave the building IN sunlight AND feel in the mood for a swift half with colleagues on the grassy frontage of our local pub. And a very nice one it is too (CAMRA award winner for those who care).
The daylight saving therefore could be construed as an opportunity for us to partake in a little off-site Blue Sky Thinking [tongue firmly in cheek].
Speaking of blue skies did you know that the sunniest Easter recorded was from 4-6 April 1969. Many parts of the UK saw temperatures climbing above the average with some stations breaking all time sunshine records for the weekend.
So, let’s hope we’re in for a 30 year anniversary of smashingly good sunshine for Easter 2009. If you haven’t already decided to go away for the Easter weekend, now’s your opportunity. Why not check out our Easter Special Offers many of which are offering short breaks at very good discounted rates and see if you can’t enjoy a little Scottish Blue Sky of your own.
BMI are slashing prices to Scotland - in some cases by 50% making it even more affordable to travel on a whim. BA’s prices aren’t too bad either, having just checked they are under £100 return per person from London to Edinburgh (departing Thurs 9th April returning Tues 14th April)
