Best start to the 2010 fishing season on the South Esk
It has been reported that the 2010 spring run of salmon and sea trout has started early this year and the fishing on the South Esk has been the best in recent years. To tie in with this, there is a special offer on the accommodation near the river at the castle apartment, which sleeps up to 9 people or the Scottish castle apartment, which sleeps up to 10 people.
The castle estate has five miles of double-bank fishing, starting from 1 mile below Brechin and stretching to the Montrose basin, and permits are available seperately via the estate office.
